Ever since I heard about our 20th High School Reunion I couldn't wait to go. I grew more and more excited about seeing people I've known since elementary school and chatting with high school crushes with each passing week. I was so excited when we were boarding the plane for Los Angeles that I thought ok, I'm just weird. But here's the thing. . . EVERYONE there was just as excited as I was. Our reunion committee put together such an amazing party that we danced until 2am and still didn't want to leave. John Burroughs High School Class of 1985 reunion was outta hand!!! For a most excellent experience of the photo ablum play some Cure or Prince while viewing.

With the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and all the political noise we decided to get away in the Gore Range for Labor Day weekend. In a different way were reminded of just how huge mother nature is. Click on the photo for a flickr set of one of the most beautiful backpacking weekends I've been on.

Every season in the Colorado mountains offers beauty and something crazy fun to do. But watch out, the weather changes quickly.

These mornings I'm greeted by steam rising from the surface of Lake Dillon as I round the shore on my way to Vail. It looks like a mountain lake full of Puff the Magic Dragons. I'll try to capture it.
